Ongoing Adoption Support

Adoption is not an event that takes place, it is a process of change and self-discovery that lasts a lifetime. Fortunately, there are no shortage of resources available to help support adoptive parents, adoptees, birth parents, and anyone else touched by adoption, in their ongoing adoption journey.


Some resources, like this site, are available to all; others, like in-person support groups and information seminars, are limited to a more local audience. Please, check out our Post-Adoption Resource Map and Event Calendar for more information about local support available in your area.


In 2011, thirteen youth met through the Youth Network and realized that they had collectively experienced over sixty family moves before becoming part of their forever families through adoption. To help share their experience and spread the message about the importance of adopting older children, they created this video.


Rights and Responsibilities
