Impact of Giving

We know what families need. When you give to the Adoption Council of Ontario, you are impacting the lives of children, youth and families in Ontario's adoption community.

You have the unprecedented opportunity to truly make a difference today and into the future because everything changes with a forever family. ACO’s programs are creating positive outcomes for children, their families and Ontario society:

  • Increased permanency rates (more children will have a forever family)
  • Reduced rates of adoption breakdown
  • Increased psychological health of children and youth and their families
  • Reduced numbers of youth aging out of care without a lifelong family connection
  • Decreased rates of homelessness and juvenile justice involvement of youth who had been in care
  • Increased educational and job prospects for youth who had been in care
  • Reduced risk of repeating the cycle of foster care in the next generation
  • Reduced social costs to the Ontario government

Adoption Council of Ontario has become a leading organization both provincially and nationally. We are dedicated to ensuring all children and youth can find a forever family and that those families are prepared and equipped for their journeys together. Our unwavering vision continues to focus our programs and services – we will work towards a community where all children have a family forever.

ACO's Vision

We must reduce the barriers, support families with challenges and build partnerships for permanency that will ensure that every child and youth has a forever family to grow up and grow old in. We know what to do! What we need most is your help, your investment in ACO enables us to do what needs to be done in Ontario, so that all children waiting for a family can have one.

I want to give!
