An 8 session (24 Hour) Curriculum

Pathways to Permanence 2 is a 24-hour specialized series of classes designed for foster and adoptive parents, kinship caregivers, and guardians who are parenting children who have experienced trauma and loss as a part of their history.
The course provides tools, techniques and information that empower participants to effectively parent their children.

Location: London Central Secondary School - 509 Waterloo Street, London N6B 2P8
Time: Saturdays, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
***A group meal will be provided for lunch.
* Please note that for some of our Pathways offerings, we are adding an extra session, for a total of 9 sessions instead of the usual 8. This extra time will enable us to move forward with the next phase of our Pathways evaluation project with the University of Toronto. Please see sessions listed above to determine if this applies.
Who: This training is for parents and caregivers where a placement has already occurred.
Cost: This course is being offered at NO cost to participants thanks to funding from the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services.
Registration: This session is now FULL. If you would like to be notified if any spots become available, please register for the Waiting List. The deadline to register is January 3, 2018, at 9:00 am.

Certificate: A certificate of completion will be provided.
Childcare: Child care will be provided to children 3 years of age and older. Childcare MUST be booked in advance; please include your childcare needs when you register. The deadline to register for childcare is January 3, 2018, at 9:00 am.
Please note, Ontario's PRIDE curriculum is equivalent to The Kinship Center's Pathways to Permanence 1 curriculum.
