Wondering about others’ experiences with search and reunion?
The ACO’s Permanency and Adoption Support Services Program offers a once-monthly Search and Reunion Support Group for all adults touched by adoption who are considering, mid-way through or impacted by search and reunion issues. The purpose of this group is to provide opportunities for group members to share their personal experiences and perspectives while having access to support, education and resources related to this unique stage of the lifelong process of adoption.
The group covers multiple topics that include but are not restricted to the following:
Meetings may include a special guest speaker. TBD.
The group is open to all members of the adoption constellation: birth family members, adoptive family members and adult adopted persons.
Jacquie Tjandra, M.S.W., R.S.W and Beverley Nettleton, B.A., counsellor with personal and professional experiences in adoption.
