Did you know?

In Ontario there is no ‘cut off’ age for people who are interested in adopting! All children who find permanency through adoption need to be placed with families who are able to meet their needs and many seniors have strengths in this area.  For example:

  • Retirement provides the opportunity to invest a lot of time into building relationships
  • If you’ve already parented, you bring experience to the adoption journey
  • Older youth are most at risk for aging out of government care without permanency and seniors are often a great match for older youth
