The Adoption Council of Ontario exists to make sure every child and youth in Ontario has a family.
One of the most fundamental ways we can support adoptive families is to simply answer the call.
Supporting adoptive families requires having a comprehensive and responsive array of programs in order to identify and fill service gaps, as well as a solid infrastructure to connect families and provide barrier-free access to programs.
In 30+ years we have connected with more than 48,000 Ontarians.
The gift that keeps growing! Your monthly donation ensures that ACO can always Answer the Call when a family needs information, guidance and connection on the lifelong journey of becoming a family and helping children heal from early life loss and hurt.
A Blanket represents warmth and security that wraps around a child and their new family as they start their journey to becoming a family. Blankets are specially made by volunteer families and youth.
Becoming a family through adoption requires specialized learning for parents and children to help them understand their story, accept loss and adjust to new identities and relationships.
ACO provides adoptive families with a Welcome Home Pack of gifts, special books and resources. as a first step in connecting them to the ongoing help and guidance offered by ACO and community-based parent support groups.
